Thank you for reading the COVID-19 security measures and precautions, below.

By private aircraft

Dear Pilots,

France Air Expo has always welcomed visitors by private aircraft for the last 15 years at all its editions in VFR or IFR, even if the complicated weather could often prevent some of you from joining the show platform.

The decision not to host VFR flights at the exhibition this year is independent of the show's organisation.

Indeed, resident associations around the exhibition put pressure on municipalities to reduce noise pollution, as you might have noticed on many platforms in France.

SNA services cannot accommodate more than two operators inside the control tower due to health constraints related to Covid-19.

It is therefore impossible to safely manage the arrival of several dozen aircraft per day, but, as mentioned above, it happened in the past that we have only received a few aircraft without affecting the exhibition's success.

Finally, a summit will be organized this week in Geneva, after the G7, which will complicate the air navigation.

It seemed more important to us to carry out the event under these conditions, especially as Lyon is a maximum of 2 hours from all the major cities in France by Air France, rail or car.

France Air Expo is the only exhibition in France and Europe this year, and we are delighted to welcome the aviation community after two years of absence.

So come to the show by car, the parking is free, you won't regret it!

Rest assured that the 2022 edition will once again welcome all aircraft for an immense Fly-Inn.
